Welcome to my website!

I do custom commissioned felted wool pet portraits based on your photo. It is my goal to provide you with a finished portrait that captures the essence and personality of your pet. I want to spark in you the same joy I experienced when I made my first portrait of Charlie.

And speaking of Charlie...

How it All Began: Meet Charlie!

It all started with my desire to have a nice portrait of Charlie to keep.  I had previously attended a  “sip and paint” party so I already had  a painting of him; but I was looking for something unique and different. I enjoy crafting and art and within the last couple of years discovered needle felting. In time I discovered that you could create beautiful 2D pictures with needle felting. I decided that I wanted to get a portrait of Charlie made and I was off and running!

And Then. . .

After looking on the internet for someone to do it for me. I came across someone who would change my life. Her name is Sophie Wheatley and she teaches you how to create needle felted dog portraits.

Her website is All Things Felt & Beautiful.

I happened to be in the right place at the right time as she was getting ready to open enrollment for her online course, “My Best Ever Dog Portrait. Studying with Sophie, I made my first portrait of Charlie.

Here’s the Result!

Yes, I made that! I was so excited with the result and that I was able to capture “that look” of Charlie! I fell in love with creating this art and so I continued studying with Sophie in her online video course, “My Best Ever Dog Portrait”.

This is one of my favorite pictures that I made during the course:

So Then What Happened?

I started doing portraits for others and after seeing how much they enjoyed them. I decided that I found something that I loved and that I could pay it forward by combining:

PASSION WITH PURPOSE.

A portion of the proceeds from my portraits will be given to support animal rescue shelters as my way of paying it forward.
